Is America the worlds laughing stock when it comes to immigration?

How is it in the past immigrants that came here learned the language, became social with the Americans already here, accepted the US as a Christian Nation and walked the walk. When did allowing these "modern day" immigrants, especially the Muslims, Somalians, Hmongs etc. to come and live here and refuse to speak English and walk the walk?!? I don't know of any other Country that would allow this BS! Is liberalism and Obama destroying America?
