Why are Marge,Lisa,and Maggie the most unappealing characters on The Simpsons?

as far as comedy they are. they are the "straight men" . every comedy needs serious charcters to set up jokes and stories for the funny charcters to play off of and create jokes . each one once an episode or so will have a funny part . especially marge , you have to pay attention though a few times an episode she will make a hillarious old reference or a very funny dry humor style joke or observation .
