*Prepaid Cell Phone question* What's best Prepaid service to use? I don't use for long conversations, only...?

I have a prepaid t-mobile plan that costs $100 for 1000 minutes that last a year. The first year, I had to buy a nokia 6030bar phone for $50, but it has worked fine for 2 1/2 years. They probably have more recent phones to choose from now. I was able to have the 1000 minutes last the first year, but on year 2, I had to pay another $100 only after about 8 months.
